Gretsch - G6136I - Irish Falcon - (vintage uncertain) "Everything" Green finish

The Irish Falcon is basically a green White Falcon. Bono had at least 4 of these on the road during the 2005-2006 Vertigo tour.

The Irish Falcon became his electric of choice once he took delivery during the Elevation tour; the Irish Falcon eclipsing the use of his Cadillac Green 1959 Country Club.

Note:
These guitars list, at 3599.99 at various online dealers. Once again, a pricey and yet lovely guitar.

Bono and Gretsch recently collaborated to create this updated version of the iconic green Gretsch known as the Irish Falcon. Gracing the stages of the current U2 "Vertigo 2005/06" tour, the new G6136I incorporates classic Gretsch Falcon specs with an all-new lustrous “Everygreen” finish. A portion of the proceeds is donated to "DATA" (Debt-AIDS-Trade-Africa) of which Bono supports and gives his global efforts toward the reduction of extreme poverty in the developing world.

Gretsch g6136I Irish Falcon - 200x - Cadillac Green:

DETAILS: Fred Gretsch delivered this guitar to Bono, personally, during the Elevation 2001 tour. It is essentially a Gretsch White Falcon that was finished in Cadillac green. Bono has at least 2 of these as one was in the U2: Pride In the Name Of Love" U2 exhibit at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland from February 2003 through February 29, 2004. During that period Bono was seen with another Irish Falcon at the 46664 Nelson Mandela concert in South Africa.
